ENS Deploys Gasless DNSSEC On Ethereum

Ethereum Name Service (ENS) has successfully implemented Gasless DNSSEC across more than 1500 Top-Level Domains (TLDs). Gasless DNSSEC is a standard that enables Ethereum smart contracts to retrieve and verify offchain data. It’s powered by CCIP Read. ENS already supported the import of DNS domains, but it has required an onchain transaction. With the introduction of Gasless DNSSEC, importing DNS domains no longer requires an onchain transaction. To use the feature, users must activate DNSSEC through their domain provider. Subsequently, by adding a TXT record to their DNS domain that includes a resolver address and their Ethereum wallet address, their DNS domain becomes compatible with the ENS system.

Swell Introduces Restaked swETH

Liquid staking protocol Swell Network introduced rswETH, a new liquid restaking token integrated with EigenLayer. rswETH is natively restaked on EigenLayer, meaning that ETH deposits are used to spin up validators whose withdrawal credentials are pointed to an EigenLayer smart contract. There is no limit on native restaking deposits. Holders of rswETH will have the advantage of earning both Swell Pearls and EigenLayer restaking points, without the need to make deposits directly into EigenLayer. rswETH will also offer boosted yields for liquid stakers once Actively Validated Services are live. Among the LSTs on EigenLayer, Swell’s swETH LST is the second-largest with over 100,000 ETH in deposits.

OEV Network ZK-Rollup On Polygon CDK

API3 introduced the OEV Network, a new ZK-Rollup built on Polygon’s CDK designed to capture Oracle Exrtactable Value (OEV) from dapps. The network operates as a specialized onchain auctions platform, where it auctions off the rights to update specific price data feeds for particular dapps to the highest bidder. The revenue generated from the auctions is then distributed back to the originating dapp, while the auction winner gains the right to carry out the data feed update. OEV Network aims to address third-party entities, like keepers and block producers, who are incentivized to extract maximum value from dapps. An implementation is currently live on the Sepolia testnet.

Hey Introduces Portals

Hey, a social media platform built on Lens Protocol, introduced Portals, a new feature that transforms static embedded content into dynamic, interactive apps. The new open graph specification allows developers to create interactive applications that users can engage with directly within the Hey social feed. The development is similar to Farcaster Frames, which was deployed last Friday.
